Be the first to view new films from some notable veteran and upcoming filmmakers at the Tribeca Film Festival 2014 in Lower Manhattan. Founded in 2002 by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff, this star-studded event is scheduled for April 16 to April 27, with tickets going on sale April 8.
This year's festival will spotlight young artists, veteran writers and several big name stars, including Joss Whedon, Roman Polanski, Nicole Holofcener, Robin Williams, Aubrey Plaza and Elizabeth Banks. "Cougar Town" and "Friends" star Courteney Cox will also make her directorial debut, with a film called "Just Before I Go,” starring Seann William Scott. Other films of note include the Alfred Molina-John Lithgow Sundance hit “Love Is Strange," Jon Favreau's “Chef,” the Dakota Fanning-Jesse Eisenberg thriller, "Night Moves," and Gia Coppola's adaptation of James Franco's novel "Palo Alto."
