Seasonal Events in NYC & FREE Union Square Park Tours
FREE Union Square Tours & Events in NYC
The city's crossroads between all of Manhattan, Brooklyn & The Bronx since 1839, our namesake park neighbor is home to a bountiful selection of weekly, seasonal events all year. Whether it's a massive pillow fight, political rally, outdoor music festival, dance lessons, arts and crafts, or FREE tours, Union Square events are some of the hottest in town. Here are a few of our favorite ways to closeout summer, one block from our hotel:
Union Square Greenmarket
Mon, Wed, Fri, & Sat.
Dating back to 1976, quite possibly the most famous farmers' market in the world now features fresh-picked and handcrafted goods from up to 140 regional purveyors. Four days a week all year, the park fills with things like artisanal cheese, heritage meats, local wine, baked goods, pickles, jams, juices, flowers, seasonal fruits and veggies.
Crossroads of New York Walking Tour
Meet at the statue of Abraham Lincoln near 16th Street for a FREE, 90-minute guided walking tour of the neighborhood around Union Square, its architecture, and unique history.
Tuesdays at The Pavilion: Arts & Crafts
