Red-Hot Summer in NYC Festivities - Governor's Ball
NYC Festivities Don't Get Any Better Than This!
1 Randall's Island Park
New York, NY 10035
Arguably the concert event of the year for New Yorkers, everyone who's anyone in the city will be on Randall's Island June 5th-7th for Governor's Ball. NYC festivities truly don't get anymore star-packed than this 3-day music and food festival in one of the city's most unique park spaces, centrally located between Manhattan, Queens, and The Bronx.
About the Festival
Now in its fifth year, Governor's Ball began in 2011, aimed at offering an array of musical styles as eclectic as New York City itself. With limited overlapping sets, fans haven't had to choose between Kanye West or Kendrick Lamar, Beck or Fiona Apple, Outkast or Jack White (all past performers). Of course, there are plenty of other things to do while you wait for your favorite act, like a famous Silent Disco, photo booths, and lawn games. Then there's the food. This year, even more efforts were made to attract many of the most popular restaurants in the city, along with plenty of craft beers and drinks to wash it all down.
Single-Day tickets are $135 for general admission, and $280 for VIP, with comfy lounges and viewing areas close to the stage. Three-Day tickets are $300 and $645, respectively, with a Super VIP option priced at $2,015.
Some of this year's can't-miss performers include:
My Morning Jacket (Friday)
Florence + The Machine (Friday)
Conor Oberst (Saturday)
Lana Del Rey (Sunday)
The Black Keys (Sunday)
"Weird Al" Yankovic (Sunday)
New York's Tastiest Vittles
While this year's vendors are still being finalized, 2014 featured offerings from:
Pok Pok NY
Momofuku Milk Bar
