Cooking Up Good Tunes and Delicious \'Cue at the Big Apple BarbecueSample some of the country's finest 'cue at the 12th annual Big Apple BBQ Block Party at Madison Square Park. With flavorful dishes from some of the country's most renowned pitmasters, this year's event promises to be one of the best. It's also a prime opportunity to enjoy live music from emerging and established blues, soul and rock artists who will perform on stage throughout the day.
Scheduled for June 7 and 8 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., the Big Apple BBQ Block Party offers a chance to celebrate America's authentic musical and culinary traditions. Enjoy world-class 'cue from barbecue capitals such as Alabama, North Carolina, Illinois, Texas and more. Event admission is free, with barbecue plates costing $9 each. Pitmasters will offer up plates directly from their barbecue rigs, and guests will have the opportunity to purchase a FastPass for exclusive access to express lines.
Proceeds from the event go to support the Madison Square Park Conservancy, which is responsible for programming, beautification and ongoing maintenance of the historic park. Madison Square Park is located between 26th and 23rd Streets, and 5th Ave. and Madison Ave. Parking is available at the southwest corner of Park Ave. S. & 28th Street; on 24th Street between Lexington Ave. & Park Ave. S.; and on 30th Street between Madison Ave & 5th Ave.
